Job Title: Community Engagement Lead

  • We are seeking a highly skilled professional to lead our community engagement efforts, working closely with Aboriginal communities and stakeholders to improve health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • To develop and implement effective engagement strategies that prioritize cultural safety and responsiveness;
  • To build and maintain strong relationships with local health networks, Aboriginal community-controlled health organizations, and other key stakeholders;
  • To facilitate knowledge translation and ensure that policy and strategic priorities are culturally safe and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal peoples;
  • To support place-based partnership participation and collaborative decision-making initiatives to improve Aboriginal health outcomes;
  • To provide advice and guidance on approaches to engaging and communicating with Aboriginal communities and health stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in community engagement or a related field;
  • Strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and community needs;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • Highly developed problem-solving and analytical skills.
