Speech Language Pathologist Role Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Therapist to join our multidisciplinary team supporting children who are deaf or hard of hearing. As a Speech Pathologist, you will administer speech, language and listening assessments in accordance with Healthy Hearing Monitoring Guidelines.

This role also involves providing high-quality intervention services for NDIS and Medicare clients with a hearing loss, as well as developing programs to meet the needs of each child. You will work independently and cooperatively within a transdisciplinary model, delivering services in home, community, and educational settings.

About the Job:

  • Administer speech, language and listening assessments in accordance with Healthy Hearing Monitoring Guidelines
  • Provide high-quality intervention services for NDIS and Medicare clients with a hearing loss
  • Develop programs to meet the needs of each child
  • Work independently and cooperatively within a transdisciplinary model
  • Deliver services in home, community, and educational settings

About You:

  • Bachelor or Master's Degree in Speech Pathology
  • Speech Pathology Australia Certified Practising Membership
  • NDIS Worker's Screening Check
  • Working With Children Check/Blue Card
  • Demonstrated ability to work both independently and within a multidisciplinary team
  • Evidence of ongoing education/professional development relevant to the Deaf & Hard of Hearing population
  • Experience in Auslan highly regarded
