About the Role
The Vehicle Remarketing Strategist will be responsible for overseeing Splend's national fleet disposal strategy, working closely with internal stakeholders to coordinate market-specific remarketing strategies and optimize disposal avenues as market conditions change.
Responsibilities:- Develop Market-Relevant Asset Disposal Strategies: The successful candidate will develop and implement market-relevant asset disposal strategies to achieve maximum resale values.
- Manage Vehicle Tenders: The Vehicle Remarketing Strategist will organize and manage vehicle tenders across all states, ensuring adequate attendance and competitive results.
- Negotiate with Dealers: The candidate will negotiate with dealers for individual vehicle sales, providing upgrade opportunities for our customer base.
- Manage Dealer Relationships: The successful candidate will manage the relationships of our current network of dealers, buyers, and wholesalers.
- Identify De-Fleet Opportunities: The Vehicle Remarketing Strategist will identify key opportunities to de-fleet certain vehicles at opportunistic times.
- Coordinate Logistics: The candidate will coordinate the logistics of transporting vehicles between Splend locations.
- Provide Weekly Updates: The successful candidate will provide weekly updates based on sale results and key updates in the market.
- Demonstrated Experience: The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience in a similar role (3+ years experience).
- Relationship-Building Skills: The candidate will have a desire to build relationships with a network of vehicle buyers, wholesalers, and auction houses.
- Sales Principles and Customer Service: The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of sales principles and customer service practices.
- Strategy Development: The candidate will have proven experience building effective strategies.
- Communication and Negotiation Skills: The successful candidate will have clear and direct communication and negotiation skills.
- Used Car Market Knowledge: The candidate will have strong knowledge of the used car market and valuations.
- Equity Package: The successful candidate will be eligible for an equity package, sharing financially in the company's success.
- Performance-Based Bonus and Commission Plans: The candidate will be eligible for performance-based bonus and commission plans.
