Medical Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Medical Director to lead our medical department. As the Director of Medicine, you will be responsible for the overall functioning of the department, overseeing the associated multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the medical department
- Oversee the management of medical services, including specialist outreach and remote outreach
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care, including palliative care and critical interventions
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve patient outcomes and departmental efficiency
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless care coordination and communication
- Current General and Specialist registration as a Medical Practitioner
- FRACP qualification
- Dual Fellowship in a relevant specialty (highly regarded)
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence
- Competitive remuneration package based on full-time equivalent value up to $562,559 p.a.
- Up to $70,000 in incentive payments may be available
- Base salary ranges between $210,332 and $266,677 p.a. (L18-L27)
- Superannuation employer contribution 12.75%
- 5 weeks annual recreational leave accumulation with 17.5% loading when taken
- Attraction and retention incentive allowance of 35-50% base annual salary
- Regional and rural attraction allowance of 15% base annual salary
- Motor vehicle allowance
- Inaccessibility allowance
- Transfer and appointment expenses may be negotiated
