Helicopters play a pivotal role in our missions, and it is your responsibility as a Helicopter/Tiltrotor Aircraft Maintenance specialist to keep them technically sound. You will perform preventive maintenance on helicopters and tiltrotor aircraft, operational rotor checks, and testing for electrical and hydraulic systems to ensure they are ready to go wherever they need to and complete whatever mission lies ahead.
OverviewHelicopter/Tiltrotor Aircraft Maintenance specialists maintain and repair helicopter systems to ensure readiness for missions.
Responsibilities- Maintain and repair helicopter systems, including rotors, transmissions, landing gear, fuel, hydraulics and electrical.
- Facilitate launch and recovery, helicopter disassembly/reassembly, and other aspects of movement and storage operations.
- Adjust, calibrate and align aircraft systems.
- Prepare aircraft for movement to and from different locations.

- HS diploma. Completion of high school is mandatory. Completion of related vocational courses is highly desirable.
- ASVAB score on Mechanical of 56 for H-60 Helicopter or 51 for CV-22 Tiltrotor
- Eligibility for top-secret security clearance
- 8.5 weeks of Basic Military Training (BMT) at JB San Antonio-Lackland, TX, followed by Technical Training
