As a Director, Legal, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the legal direction of our organization. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice to senior management, Ministers, and other key stakeholders on complex and sensitive matters.
- Lead teams and manage corporate functions, including budgets, to ensure effective and efficient delivery of legal services.
- Negotiate, advise, and litigate on a diverse range of high-profile international, trade, investment, regulatory, and domestic law issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate legal risks and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Law degree (or equivalent) from a recognized Australian tertiary education provider, or a degree from an overseas tertiary education provider recognized for admission to practice in Australia.
- Entry in the Register of Practitioners of the High Court of Australia or the roll of barristers and solicitors of the Supreme Court of a State or Territory would be desirable.
