Job Opportunity:

Job Summary:

The Diver is responsible for conducting safe and efficient underwater inspections and maintenance of marine farm infrastructure in Strahan.

This role involves performing preventative maintenance, general repairs, and ensuring equipment is in good working order to ensure the sustainability of the operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Undertake repairs to nets and equipment
  • Conduct subsea infrastructure inspections as required
  • Rigging and retrieving mortalities
  • Ensure safety inspection of dive and personal protective equipment daily

About You:

  • Excellent communication skills with ability to build positive relationships within a team environment
  • Strong ability to adapt, deal with uncertainty, and remain calm in a dynamic work environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and proactive focus on continuous improvement of processes
  • Commitment to working safely and identifying risks, taking appropriate action to mitigate them

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in aquaculture (Diving)
  • ADAS Part 2 Restricted Dive ticket (or equivalent)
  • Current Dive medical or ability to obtain one
  • Current First Aid and Oxygen Resuscitation Certificate
  • Valid Driver's licence

Work Arrangements:

This is a full-time opportunity operating on a 4-day on, 3-day off roster, providing a good work-life balance.
