Advanced Underwater Technical Expert

As a key member of our Underwater Systems team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Royal Australian Navy with cutting-edge mission-critical solutions.
Job Overview:We are responsible for delivering advanced Sonar and undersea combat systems. Based in North Sydney's Rydalmere, your primary objective will be to:
- Maintain expertise across all subsystems of the Scylla Sonar
- Perform technical support tasks in a safe and efficient manner
- Conduct test procedures applicable to the equipment and assist with analysis of results
- Implement modifications and upgrades to electronic, electro-mechanical, and mechanical assemblies
- Lead and perform off-site work as required in support of Submarine Full Cycle Docking tasks
- Provide expert advice for the continuous improvement of repair systems, processes, and procedures
- Assist in maintaining the secure network configuration and performing maintenance of the secure labs
- Certification III in Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Strong understanding of analogue/digital and microprocessor-based electronic systems
- Previous experience in a Defence Industry environment
- Proficiency in hardware fault finding
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Working knowledge of SCYLLA Sonar desirable
This role requires an Australian Defence security clearance, applicants must be Australian citizens, and eligible to obtain and maintain an appropriate clearance.
