The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and customer-focused Parts Interpreter to join our team at Hitachi Construction Machinery. Based in our Dandenong branch, you will be responsible for coordinating and supplying quality products to our customer base through sourcing parts, managing customer queries, and invoicing. You will also provide specialist service to internal and external customers for parts and exercise your strong computer skills, data entry accuracy, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interpreting and processing customer parts requests, including pricing, availability of stock, and order enquiries
  • Providing specialist service to internal and external customers for parts via phone and email
  • Sourcing and supplying parts to meet customer requests
  • Raising quotes, sales orders, and invoices for parts sales
  • Exercising strong computer skills, data entry accuracy, and attention to detail

Requirements:

  • Exceptional customer service skills and experience
  • An interest in earthmoving parts, components, products, equipment, and services
  • A developed mechanical understanding of the Construction and Mining field is highly regarded but not essential
  • Intermediate computer literacy skills, including Internet-based applications, MS Office, and Outlook
  • Passion and a positive attitude to deliver the best outcome for our customers
  • A High Risk Forklift License is beneficial
