As a Senior Manager in Transaction Diligence, you'll play a pivotal role in helping organisations navigate complex deals and transactions.

You'll work closely with clients, their bankers, and legal advisers to manage SPA advisory engagements for acquisitions or disposals by private equity investors, funds, or strategic corporate clients. Your expertise will be invaluable in tasks such as cash, debt, and working capital analysis, pricing schedule preparation, and financial reviews of the SPA and Completion Accounts.

Key responsibilities include advising clients on transaction mechanisms and financial analysis, providing insights on purchase price mechanisms, analysing financial results through diligence findings and interviews, and supporting negotiations with clients to agree on detailed and compelling outputs.

To succeed in this role, you'll need strong relationships-building skills, enabling you to collaborate effectively with internal contacts and external clients. You'll also need to develop and maintain a portfolio of high-value projects, collaborating with other EY service teams to deliver an integrated approach to clients.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Possess a bachelor or master degree in accounting, business, finance, or economics, and be a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, CAANZ, or an international equivalent.
  • Have at least 5 years of experience in a professional services or chartered accounting environment, or in a financial performance and analysis or mergers & acquisitions role at a corporate organisation.
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly develop, build, and manage relationships with multiple clients and teams, both external and internal. Experience working with senior stakeholders on multiple engagements in a Transaction Diligence role or mergers and acquisitions environment.
