Desktop Support Specialist

At Iron Systems, we are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our IT department, you will be responsible for providing top-notch support for our desktop devices, ensuring that our users have a seamless and productive experience.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage desktop devices, including hardware, software, and connectivity, to ensure optimal performance and resolve incidents efficiently.
  • Provide expert-level support for Windows 7 OS, including troubleshooting, maintenance, and upgrades.
  • Collaborate with our Service Desk team to analyze incident data and identify opportunities for user training and automation.
  • Ensure that all desktop devices are properly configured and installed with the latest software and security patches.
  • Monitor security profiles and anti-virus software to prevent security breaches and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Provide VIP support for desk-side issues and serve as the primary point of contact for IT-related matters at our sites.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in desktop support, with a strong focus on Windows 7 OS.
  • Knowledge of Active Directory, smart hands, and feet support is a plus.
  • Experience with Service management tools, such as ServiceNow, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent expertise in EUC tools, remote support tools, MS Office, and Outlook is required.
  • A strong understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Change, Problem, and Service Request management, is essential.
  • A degree in electronics or a related field is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
