### Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Payroll Officer to join our team at Clayton Utz. As a key member of our payroll team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payroll requirements.

### Key Responsibilities

* Process the fortnightly payroll as part of a collaborative team
* Interpret the Legal Services Award (LSA) to ensure compliance
* Process staff movements, including new starters, departures, and other payroll changes
* Manage bonuses and salary sacrifice requests, adhering to ATO calculation methods
* Demonstrate a working understanding of termination calculations, leave accruals, and Long Service Leave rules
* Document and regularly review payroll processes and procedures to ensure relevance
* Prepare manual payments as required
* Respond to payroll queries from employees, providing support and guidance

### Skills and Experience

To be considered for this role, you will have:

* 2-3 years of prior experience in a similar payroll position in a medium to large organization
* A working understanding of payroll software, including Workday and iChris/Chris21
* Demonstrated ability to meet demanding deadlines
* Strong teamwork and communication skills
* Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
* A positive mindset, flexibility, and resilience to meet business objectives
