Description:

The ideal candidate will be responsible for guiding and advising students on their future career paths, providing them with the necessary tools and resources to make informed decisions.


Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance student outcomes in careers education and guidance.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to integrate careers education into the curriculum.
  • Provide one-on-one counselling and group sessions to support students in making informed career choices.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to ensure students have access to the latest information and opportunities.

Requirements:
  1. Counselling or careers advising experience in a secondary school setting.
  2. High-level communication skills (written and verbal) with the ability to engage with students and staff alike.
  3. Ability to plan and prioritise work effectively, managing multiple tasks and deadlines.
  4. Demonstrated commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in a school careers department or similar role.
  • Certificate IV or Graduate Certificate in Career Education and Development.
