About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Governance Manager to join our Bupa Dental Care Contract Management and Governance team. This is a hybrid role that will be based out of our Melbourne, Sydney, or Brisbane office locations when not working from home.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure all incidents are reported and managed, and that any agreed corrective actions are completed by the responsible person(s) within the designated timeframe.
  • Work closely with the Head Dentist to track progress and provide updates on any changes to priorities or strategy.
  • Responsibility for all Clinical Governance contractual documentation and managing all clinical internal reporting obligations.
  • Coordinate and oversee agreed audit and compliance monitoring activities from internal and external parties and assist practices to complete any agreed required actions within the designated agreed time frames.
  • Manage all BDC Clinical Governance Internal Controls and Risk Management Assessment (ICRMA) requirements.
  • Monitor, in conjunction with the Head Dentist, the effectiveness of corrective/preventive action programs.
  • Manage initial and ongoing credentialing activities involving Bupa contracted health practitioners, including AHPRA PIE, and manage Credentialing audits in line with the BDC Quality Management Plan.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with all key stakeholders, with a focus on supporting the safe operation of the Bupa Dental clinical and business models.
  • Stay abreast of regulatory and legislative change within the dental and healthcare industries.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Dental Surgery or equivalent and current AHPRA registration.
  • Postgraduate qualification in health management, clinical governance, clinical quality assurance, quality improvement, clinical audit, or related discipline highly regarded.
  • A high level of clinical control management experience, along with a proven background in governance and quality assurance.
  • Experience in applying risk and assurance frameworks to drive successful business outcomes and contractual obligations, ideally in a multidisciplinary, networked organisation.
  • Leadership and people management experience with demonstrable record of driving engagement and performance, ideally with a geographically dispersed team.
  • Ability to have difficult, robust, and influential conversations, coupled with proven experience managing complex relationships with clients and subcontractors effectively.
  • Skilled in the ability to influence, negotiate, convince, and persuade through highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • A high standard of written and presentation skills and good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience of report writing for submission at senior/board level.
