
Senior Heavy Vehicle Compliance Specialist

The Heavy Vehicle Accreditation Manager oversees and maintains systems and programs related to heavy vehicle accreditations, ensuring ongoing compliance with accreditation requirements. This involves monitoring systems and processes supporting accreditation elements and facilitating internal and external audits in accordance with documented standards.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide subject matter expertise for the development, maintenance, and improvement of reporting, including self-service, incident management enhancements, statistics, and dashboard and business intelligence report development with agile, meaningful measurements.
- Maintain and manage heavy vehicle accreditation (NHVAS and WAHVAS), including facilitation of relevant regulator audit programs.
- Maintain systems, processes, and assurance that support adherence to heavy vehicle accreditation, specifically fatigue, mass, dimension, and loading, fitness for work, and maintenance.
- Manage relationships with businesses associated with heavy vehicle accreditation.
- Manage accreditation relationships with road authorities in jurisdictions where the company operates.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in heavy vehicles, preferably in a regulatory or operational capacity.
- Excellent analytical, project, and change management and organizational skills in high-risk operational environments.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritizing components of projects, programs, or portfolios of work in context with risks, activities, and stakeholders.
- Proven ability to be thorough and accurate.
- Capable of identifying key issues and implementing short-, medium-, and long-term strategies for improvement.
- Comprehensive knowledge and/or skills to guide and train others in identifying, assessing, prioritizing, and managing project and operational risks.
