Disability Services Leadership Role

The Disability Services Team Leader plays a pivotal role in the delivery of high-quality services to support individuals with disabilities. This leadership position is responsible for developing and implementing effective strategies to enhance the independence and lifestyle of participants.

The ideal candidate will have experience working within the disability sector, with a strong understanding of policy, procedures, and standards. They will be able to lead a team of Support Workers, ensuring they understand and work towards achieving organizational missions and values.

  • Roster Support Workers effectively to meet participant goals.
  • Ensure accurate case note reporting and investigate discrepancies when necessary.
  • Engage regularly with participants, their families, and stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Manage risks associated with compliance, safety, and financial management.

The successful applicant will possess tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field. A current driver's licence, first aid certificate, police clearance certificate, Working With Children Check, and National Police Check are also essential requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead a team of Support Workers to deliver high-quality services.
  2. Develop and implement effective strategies to enhance participant independence.
  3. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure smooth service delivery.
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Experience working within the disability sector.
  • Strong understanding of policy, procedures, and standards.
