Job Title: Insurance Industry Transformation Lead

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to lead the transformation of our insurance industry through leveraging technology.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a results-driven individual to take charge of building and leading a team of underwriters, developing business strategies, and delivering exceptional service levels. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving growth, innovation, and excellence across our Financial Lines product.

  • Lead a high-performing team of underwriters to develop and execute business strategies, ensuring delivery of great service levels and revenue growth nationwide;
  • Analyse portfolio data with the Chief Underwriting Officer to refine rating and selection algorithms, optimising outcomes for stakeholders;
  • Collaborate with the tech team to optimise system performance and drive digital transformation;
  • Work closely with the claims team to track trends and issues, identifying areas for improvement;
  • Develop and nurture relationships with brokers nationwide, onboarding them to our system and delivering a high-quality revenue stream;
  • Drive business development and expansion, exploring new opportunities and partnerships;
  • Maintain expertise in Professional Indemnity and Management Liability, Cyber, Crime, or other similar lines, staying up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A passion for leveraging technology to transform the insurance industry and drive business growth;
  • Proven experience in management and leadership roles, preferably in the insurance sector;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to interpret complex data and drive informed decision-making;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders;
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a high-performing team, contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence;
  • Strong knowledge of insurance products and services, particularly Professional Indemnity and Management Liability, Cyber, Crime, or other similar lines;
  • Up-to-date understanding of industry trends, regulatory requirements, and market developments.
