Technical Director, Water

Aurecon Australasia Pty Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Technical Director to lead our NSW Water Engineering Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering technical expertise and guidance on civil water infrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead the technical delivery and design management of civil water infrastructure projects, including investigations, studies, design, and construction phase technical advice.
  2. Provide technical guidance and support to the engineering team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality projects.
  3. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key clients, including Water Infrastructure NSW/WaterNSW, Department of Planning, Industry and Environment (DPIE), Hunter Water, and Sydney Water.
  4. Act as a senior member of the engineering team, providing mentoring and support to foster ongoing capability building and professional development.

Requirements:

  1. Hands-on experience in Civil Engineering, with a strong background in delivering concept and detailed design of water and wastewater infrastructure (pipelines and pump stations).
  2. Strong internal and external stakeholder management experience, with a can-do attitude and a strong team player who works well in an agile and collaborative environment.
  3. Ability to demonstrate a genuine passion for re-imagining engineering and a commitment to continuous learning and professional development.
