Job Title: Power Generation Operations Leader

Job Description

We are seeking a strong leader to oversee the operation of our power generation fleet.

This is a multidisciplinary role with both technical and commercial responsibilities, requiring a unique blend of skills and experience.

The successful candidate will be based at our Kangaroo Valley site and will be responsible for leading a team of professionals in the safe and efficient operation of our power stations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily operation of our power stations, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Lead a team of professionals in the maintenance and repair of plant equipment, minimizing downtime and optimizing performance.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance safety performance.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives and drive cultural change within the organization.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you will need to possess:

  • A relevant post-trade qualification or engineering degree in a field such as maintenance, engineering, science, or project management.
  • Extensive experience in a senior operating role in power generation or heavy industry, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in a leadership position.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interpret business requirements and develop strategies to achieve results.
  • Proven track record in OH&S/HS&E procedures management and compliance.
  • Exceptional people leadership skills, with the ability to drive a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
