About Our Client

Our client is a rapidly growing major domestic insurer in Australia, renowned for its commitment to work-life balance and employee happiness.

The company has a stellar reputation and partners with well-known brands under its national umbrella.

We are currently working on multiple roles for Home Assessors within their Claims team, based in the South east and Gippsland area.

About the Role

Your new role as Home Assessor involves assessing and reporting on damages, collaborating with our panel of home repairers and internal claims team to determine best repair methods, while ensuring exceptional customer service standards.

To support your growth, you will receive ongoing training, a mobile phone, a fully maintained vehicle, and a tablet/laptop.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough site assessments (in-person or virtually) to accurately report building damage on domestic insured properties, aligning with policy coverage requirements.
  • Prepare accurate Scopes of Works for rectification works to be carried out on insurable events.
  • Claims Support: Review expert reports, provide technical advice, and recommend policy coverage to our claims team.
  • Timely submission of reports, review of SOWs, and documentation (in accordance with set SLAs).
  • Determine and advise on the most suitable method of repair for the building.
  • Virtual/desk assessments & triage.
  • Compliance with statutory, industry, and company requirements.
  • Possibility of interstate travel for CAT events.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in managing quality building work and enhancing customer satisfaction.
  • A background in producing accurate scopes of works.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Solid communication skills and conflict resolution expertise.
  • Experience in managing, coaching, and appraising builders.
  • Ability to establish effective business relationships with builders.
  • Insurance experience preferred, but not essential.
