The Role

This exciting opportunity exists to join our Building Services Team as a Building Inspector. We are looking for an enthusiastic and team-focused individual to assist in the provision of a professional and reliable proactive building compliance program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for undertaking mandatory inspections on a regular basis, supporting the permit team and building permits inspector. They will also be required to deliver concurrent enforcement and compliance duties in a cost-effective manner.

About You

  • You have prior experience as a Building Inspector in Local Government or the private building industry.
  • You hold registration with the VBA as a Building Inspector in the relevant category.
  • You possess highly developed research, analytical, oral, and written communication skills.
  • You demonstrate a commitment to providing a high level of customer service.
  • You understand risk management principles and can implement them effectively.
