Trainee Teacher Role

Gain valuable hands-on experience in a supportive school environment. As a Trainee Teacher, you will be employed in the classroom for two days per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach and assist students in the classroom
  • Develop and implement lesson plans in collaboration with experienced teachers
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback

To succeed in this role, you will need to be currently enrolled in or planning to enrol in a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Master of Teaching (M.Teach) course at Eastern College Australia or Christian Heritage College.

The Alliance offers a unique opportunity for pre-service teachers to gain practical experience while developing their skills and knowledge in a supportive environment. We aim to:

  • Provide Christian schools with a supply of Biblically formed graduate teachers
  • Present pre-service teachers with a model of initial teacher education that is grounded in a Christian worldview
  • Ensure pre-service teachers are trained in best practice and ready to teach at the end of their studies
  • Contribute to the growth of teaching and learning capacity across the Christian education sector
