About the Role

The Tasmanian Health Service is seeking a Provisional Psychologist to join our team in North-West Tasmania.

You will play a leading role in our inclusive and expert multidisciplinary team across North-West Regional and Mersey Community Hospital's, working alongside physicians, fellow allied health professionals and nurses to deliver patient-centred care.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Provisional Psychologist who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and making a difference in the lives of our patients.

Main Responsibilities:

  • To work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  • To assess and diagnose patients' mental health conditions.
  • To develop and implement treatment plans tailored to individual needs.
  • To collaborate with healthcare professionals to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • To contribute to educational programs and workshops for patients and their families.

Essential Requirements:

  • Tertiary qualification/program approved by the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Registered as a Provisional Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia.
  • Working with Children Registration (where applicable).
  • Current Driver's Licence.
