About the Role

Chisholm Institute of TAFE is seeking an experienced and student-focused Casual Lecturer - Bachelor of Psychology for our Higher Education Business Area.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering lectures and tutorials in the Associate and Bachelor degrees of Psychology, developing and delivering teaching sessions in innovative ways, and supporting the effective use of Chisholm resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver lectures and tutorials in the Associate and Bachelor degrees of Psychology that effectively engage learners
  • Develop and deliver teaching sessions in a variety of innovative and adaptive ways, using technology, including Moodle and multimedia, to engage learners and meet their needs and learning styles
  • Proactively support the effective use of Chisholm resources and meet learner needs by increasing the use of blended learning options, workplace or offsite delivery, and mobile technologies
  • Design and develop teaching and learning resources, including tailored materials in a range of formats to suit varying learning styles
  • Develop classes that use online resources to emulate experimental conditions and help students understand the requirements of psychology as a discipline
  • Assist in relation to the establishment, maintenance, and review of teaching programs
  • Maintain a respectful, safe environment free from discrimination, bullying, and harassment

About You

You are a highly motivated individual with well-developed skills in transferring knowledge, including the ability to research, select, and use a wide range of learning resources and assessment tools.

Qualifications Required:

  • Master of Professional Psychology, or Master of Clinical Psychology, or
  • Near completion of a PhD in Psychology or cognate discipline, or
  • PhD in Psychology or cognate discipline

Salary and Benefits:

The hourly rate for this position is $125.22-$160.48 per hour, plus superannuation.
