Electrical Fitter Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Fitter Mechanic to join our team in Sydney, AU.

This is a full-time opportunity that requires the right individual to work on various construction and maintenance activities, including underground, overhead, and substation work.

The successful candidate will be working as part of a small crew and will be responsible for:

  • Operating plant and equipment
  • Maintenance and installation of street lighting and poles
  • Working at heights (overhead switching, overhead transformer replacement)
  • Switchgear operation, maintenance, and replacement
  • Fault-finding/testing and inspections

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A trade qualification as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic or Distribution Powerline Worker
  • Detailed knowledge of construction and maintenance practices for the underground and overhead distribution network
  • Experience in installing, repairing, and maintaining both overhead and underground substations
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • A strong commitment to working safely and adhering to OH&S policies and procedures
  • A current MR driving license
  • A customer-centric approach
  • HR and HC licenses
  • WorkCover Certificates: EWP, C2, DG & Forklift
  • Traffic Control Certificates
  • Ability to use iPads and Microsoft Office
