Senior PHP API Specialist

Overview: Paxus is seeking an experienced PHP API developer to join our innovative technology team.
About the Role: We're looking for a skilled developer with expertise in building secure, fast, and resilient APIs using PHP8+, Symfony, SQL, and Open API. The ideal candidate will have experience with Oracle or Postgres databases, Nginx, Docker, and Linux-based systems (Redhat). Strong problem-solving skills, independence, and ability to thrive in a small, collaborative team are essential.
- Design and Develop APIs: Collaborate with designers, product managers, and backend developers to build secure, fast, and resilient APIs using Open API for clear versioning, consistent error handling, and observability.
- Implement Strong API Practices: Implement input validation, data protection, rate limiting, encryption, and transport security to ensure robust API development.
- Participate in Code Reviews: Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and the full software development lifecycle to ensure high-quality code delivery.
What We're Looking For: 3+ years of experience with PHP8+, Symfony, SQL, and Open API. Familiarity with Oracle or Postgres databases advantageous. Exposure to Nginx, Docker, and Linux-based systems (Redhat) plus.
Nice to Have: Hands-on experience with Git Hub for version control and Kubernetes Podman.
