Backend PHP Developer Job Opportunity

Rainy Day Recruitment has a challenging role available for an experienced Backend PHP Developer. This position involves designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable APIs that support innovative digital solutions.

This job requires:

  • Developing and maintaining APIs with a strong focus on security, performance, and resilience.
  • Implementing best practices including input validation, encryption, and version control.
  • Documenting APIs using OpenAPI and ensuring consistent error handling and observability.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams across the full software development lifecycle.
  • Conducting code reviews, troubleshooting, and providing timely resolutions.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 3+ years of PHP (8+) and Symfony development experience.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and database integration (Oracle, Postgres advantageous).
  • Familiarity with API design, OpenAPI documentation, and Git / GitHub.
  • Experience with Linux-based systems (Redhat preferred).
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or within a small team.
