Senior Bookkeeper Position Summary

This opportunity presents a chance to work within a bookkeeping practice, providing end-to-end services to clients using Xero and Dext.

About the Role
  • Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage client portfolios and work collaboratively with a small team.
  • Growth opportunities that value employees and provide clear pathways into leadership and client management.
Key Accountabilities
  • End-to-end bookkeeping using accounting software.
  • Preparation and lodgement of BAS & IAS returns.
  • Payroll management and employee supervision using Deputy.
  • Prepayment, accrual, balance sheet, and journal work.
  • Debtor/creditor management and management reporting.
  • Direct communication with clients.
  • Supporting junior staff in their roles.
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience working with Xero.
  • Prior experience in a bookkeeping/accounting practice is preferred.
  • A qualification such as an Advanced Diploma or Degree in Accounting.
  • Excellent communication skills with a proactive attitude.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a strong sense of teamwork.
