As we advance in our mission to support all Australians, we present an opportunity for a seasoned HR Leader to become part of our People and Culture team.

In the newly established role of People & Culture Business Partnering Lead, you will guide and mentor the P&C Business Partnering team to achieve outstanding results across all business units. This position is crucial in working alongside leaders in various sectors to enhance the service delivery of the People & Culture team and improve the overall employee experience through best practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equip leaders with the necessary tools and provide guidance for effectively managing the employee life cycle, including talent acquisition, learning and development, workforce planning, performance management, employee engagement, employee relations, and organizational development.
  • Contribute to the formulation and execution of People and Culture initiatives aimed at boosting engagement levels.
  • Influence and coach leaders to cultivate interpersonal and leadership skills aligned with The Reject Shop's core values.
  • Ensure successful outcomes in workplace relations, addressing issues and cases as they arise.
  • Recommend structural adjustments when deemed necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Talent team to execute the talent strategy effectively.
  • Implement workplace relations strategies that align with the Business Strategy.
  • Monitor and provide advice on relevant changes to employment legislation.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Preferred tertiary qualifications in HR/ER or a related field.
  • Proven experience in leading a team and fostering consistency and high performance.
  • Ability to distill complex technical or legal information into clear recommendations and advice.
  • Experience in a similar capacity within a retail context is advantageous.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and influencing abilities.
  • Commercial mindset in decision-making processes.
