Job Summary:

  • We seek an experienced and skilled Park Infrastructure Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and scheduling the renewal, upgrade, and replacement of parks and landscape infrastructure.

About the Role:

  • The appointed individual will provide strategic planning and scheduling services to ensure the City's parks infrastructure is maintained at optimal standards.
  • They will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • The ideal candidate will possess excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate and engage with stakeholders.
  • Pride in attention to detail, time management, and computer literacy are essential qualities required for this role.
  • The selected candidate will have experience in procurement processes, particularly in relation to tenders or contracts, and a current driver's license.

Requirements:

  • A diploma or certificate IV in a relevant field such as landscape design, project management, or horticulture is highly desirable, or the ability to demonstrate relatable knowledge and experience.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills are crucial for effective collaboration and stakeholder engagement.
  • The successful candidate will possess knowledge and expertise in asset renewal planning and public open space asset management.
  • Experience in capital/operational program development within a public open space management, landscape design and maintenance, horticultural, or local government context is essential.
  • Knowledge of project management processes, such as PRINCE2, is highly regarded.
