The Role

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant who will be primarily responsible for the accounts receivable function, as well as supporting accounts payable, payroll & management accounting teams as required.

Your role will involve:

  • Managing outstanding invoices and following up with clients to ensure timely payment.
  • Resolving any payment discrepancies or billing errors.
  • Reconciling accounts receivable ledger.
  • Bank reconciliation.
  • Preparing and submitting reports on accounts receivable status to management.
  • Accounts payable invoice entry and credit card transaction processing.
  • Payroll new starter set-up & processing.
  • Month-end reporting assistance and reconciliations.
  • Year-end audit support as required.

We require someone who has:

  • 2+ years' experience in Accounts Receivable management/collections.
  • Creditors, banking and transactional control processes.
  • Experience in accounts payable/payroll highly regarded.
  • Supporting the businesses Internal control processes with associated checks.
  • Administrative and accounts support using a variety of programs and systems.
  • Data entry, filing and general administrative tasks.
  • Assisting in documenting and communicating operational policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Certification/graduation in Accounting related discipline.
