IT Support Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Support Officer to join our organisation. As the first point of contact and initial support officer, you will play a key role in ensuring that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Adhere to managerial instructions and work documents;
  • Provide timely service for system user I.T. queries and issues;
  • Respond to Help Desk tickets and queries within service expectations and guidelines;
  • Maintain efficient workflows using accepted prioritisation guidelines;
  • Advise the Systems Administrator of general and emergent IT and Infrastructure issues;
  • Achieve all tasks within timeframes and prioritisation ranking as identified in the task management system;
  • Assist with the induction of new system users, including training on basic system usage;
  • In liaison with the IT team, provide advice on emerging critical software/hardware patches and manage deployment;
  • Identify problems or errors, assess and understand the issue and escalate;
Requirements
  • Previous experience working in I.T. support / help desk roles;
  • Previous experience in asset management or database management;
  • Demonstrable customer service skills;
  • Good knowledge of technical management, information analysis and computer systems;
  • Understanding of network architecture and client/server technology;
  • Experience of IT-related building services/infrastructure operations;
  • Ability to provide introductory/training for new users;
  • Ability to communicate technical information/instruction to non-technical people;
