Job Summary

We are seeking skilled Mechanical Engineers to join our team in a role that involves preparing engineering specifications, reports, calculations, layouts, production drawings, and cost estimates. The ideal candidate will have experience in designing and developing mechanical systems for rolling stock.

The successful candidate will work collaboratively with suppliers, production engineers, and production personnel to ensure that designs meet specification requirements. They will also be responsible for diagnosing and correcting failures and design deficiencies in existing rolling stock.

This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and have a strong passion for mechanical engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review suppliers' designs and work with them to ensure product supplied meets specification requirements
  • Liaise with production engineers and production personnel associated with the manufacturing of products
  • Diagnose and correct failures and design deficiencies in existing rolling stock
  • Provide technical direction to product service and support personnel
Requirements
  • Degree qualifications - Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering or Mechatronic Engineering
  • Rail experience with a focus on Freight - Locomotives and wagons
  • Highly developed oral and written communication skills
