Our ideal candidate will have a degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, with 3-5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, especially pipeline design, piping, and pressure vessels.
They will possess proven expertise in Australian oil and gas pipeline projects, including concept, FEED, and detailed design phases, as well as knowledge of AS2885 and other relevant Australian standards, acts, and regulations.
Additionally, they will have progress towards or achievement of Chartered Engineer status with Engineers Australia, the ability to manage multiple projects independently with conflicting deadlines, and experience in oil and gas facilities or similar heavy industries.
Strong communication and report-writing skills are essential for this role, as is the ability to develop and apply engineering standards, systems, and processes.
The successful applicant will be responsible for providing technical support in engineering and design processes, developing and supporting FEED and concept design studies, and analyzing static equipment.
Key responsibilities include preparing and supporting cost estimates, equipment summaries, and tender packages, as well as preparing piping and pressure vessel design documents.
