Lead a Boutique Service in Narrabundah

We are seeking an experienced Director or Assistant Director to lead our teams at Marlee Early Education and Care Centre and Narrabundah Children's Cottage in Narrabundah, ACT.

The successful applicant will be responsible for establishing and nurturing respectful relationships with children, families, and staff, as well as supporting their team to provide engaging learning environments that allow children to think critically and direct their own learning.

The role requires a high level of leadership skills, with the ability to guide a team in providing quality early childhood education and care. The successful applicant must have a sound knowledge of the Education and Care Services National Law, Education and Care Services National Regulations, Family Assistance Law, and the Early Years Learning Framework.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Early Education and Care (or ACEQA approved equivalent), previous experience as a Director or Assistant Director, and current ACT Working with Vulnerable People registration.

About the Role:
  • Possibility of part-time position (76 hours/fortnight) for the right candidate
  • Above award wage, including $40.52-$48.86 per hour, commensurate with experience and qualifications, on-call allowance of $9.75 per day, and educational leader allowance of $2.23 per hour
  • Establish and nurture respectful relationships with children, families, and staff
  • Support your team to provide engaging learning environments that allow children to think critically and direct their own learning while ensuring the overall health, wellbeing, and safety of all children attending the service
  • Further develop partnerships with local agencies and community groups
  • Ensure that day-to-day operational, financial, human resource, and marketing management of the service is conducted in line with organisation policies and procedures
