Quantitative Energy Analyst

We are seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst to join our team at ENGIE, a global energy company committed to leading the energy transition. As a key member of our Global Energy Management & Sales (GEMS) business unit, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining models and tools for energy markets.
Key Responsibilities- Collaborate with our Spot Trading, Forward Trading, Portfolio and Commercial teams to design and implement quantitative tools for Australian Gas and Electricity physical and contract markets.
- Support the development, maintenance, and quality control of quantitative models, including Load Forecasts, Asset Operation Optimisation, Contract, Option, and Complex Products Valuations.
- Work closely with our Head of Analytics or Principal Analyst Quantitative Modelling on complex tasks, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of analytical work.
- Develop and automate reports to provide insights to internal stakeholders, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- Proactively suggest new possibilities for analytics and projects to our Principal Analyst Quantitative Modelling.
To succeed in this role, you will bring a strong mathematical background, quantitative and statistical skills, and experience in SQL, Microsoft Excel, and coding in R and Python. Ideally, you will have experience in the energy industry.
