Project Quality Assurance Manager

We are seeking an experienced Project Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at CitiPower and Powercor Australia. This is a full-time, permanent position based at our Melbourne CBD head office.
Key Responsibilities- Provide leadership and expert advice on quality assurance, including standards, requirements, procedures, and practices across functional branches and work package delivery teams.
- Apply professional expertise in planning, organizing, preparing, conducting, and reporting on site inspections and audits, including follow-up and close-out of actions raised by clients.
- Ensure project-specific contract activities meet quality management system (QMS) requirements that meet ISO 9001:2015 standards.
- Develop and implement quality management plans that comply with company policies and procedures and achieve client and project requirements.
- Implement quality and completion management systems to ensure quality and completion objectives are achieved.
- Attend project design meetings to provide engineering inputs and help with value engineering.
- Identify, develop, and comply with relevant ITRs, ITPs, and other checklists, including control, testing, and calibration of equipment.
- Ensure all materials and equipment are inspected and conform to QMS and record requirements, ensuring full traceability for all materials and equipment used.
- Develop and refine field audit quality programs.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, key management system users, and other strategic parties through defined client relationship management strategies.
- Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical/Civil/Mechanical) or Electrician by Trade.
- Project Management Qualification.
- Extensive knowledge and proven implementation of completion programs and quality tools (preferably Field-View or Pronto-form applications).
- Ability to actively identify, share, and act on lessons learned and relevant good practices, sharing in and across the team as appropriate.
- Previous experience and track record of achievement and progress as a Quality Manager or other relevant senior Quality Engineer experience, working on electricity distribution, sub-transmission, transmission industry ideally in Rail industry.
- Field leadership/management in construction, services, industrial, or development projects.
- Proven developed stakeholder and relationship experience and skills.
- Demonstrates well-developed verbal/written communication and reporting skills, attention to detail, and effective interpersonal skills.
