Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Outreach Worker to join our team in Port Augusta. As an Outreach Worker, you will provide outreach patrol and service delivery through our Port Augusta Youth Safe Transport Service (PAYSTS) program, ensuring the safe transportation of youth and children to a place of safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outreach patrol and service delivery through the PAYSTS program, ensuring the safe transportation of youth and children to a place of safety.
- Establish relationships with clients that encourage self-determination and participation.
- Assess clients' issues, needs, circumstances, and risk at initial contact.
- Assist clients to access support services and establish community supports, and advocate with service providers as needed.
- Mentor at-risk young people and facilitate group work sessions to enhance development of life and living skills and community engagement.
- Assist with the frontline implementation and review of practice models and processes, and implement change as needed.
Requirements
- A minimum qualification of Certificate IV in Community Services or relevant field (or willingness to achieve this).
- Relevant experience in a social service environment.
- Relevant experience in facilitation of group work.
- Working with Children Check.
- Driver's License.
- First Aid.
- A willingness to undergo a National Police Check.
