Job Summary

  • This is a 12-month fixed-term position that offers flexible working options to achieve a better work-life balance.
Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and locate information held in various repositories, including electronic document and records management systems (EDMS).
  • Create and maintain records in EDMS.
  • Provide helpdesk support for EDMS.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of information according to organisational policy and legislative requirements.
  • Undertake general administrative tasks such as records disposal, archive retrievals, document receipt and distribution, invoice payments, and postage services.
  • Assist employees with requests to locate and retrieve information.
  • Participate in innovative and creative ways as a member of the Information Resources team, while providing courteous, efficient, and professional service.
  • Evaluate and improve existing Records Management methods, procedures, and processes.
  • Quality assurance, disposal assessment, and coordination of all tasks associated with the evaluation of digitised records and the population of digitised files into EDMS with correct metadata.
The Ideal Candidate
  • Possess knowledge of Records Management standards and legislation.
  • Demonstrate sound knowledge of customer service principles.
  • Show ability to plan and manage time effectively, prioritise workload, and manage multiple enquiries simultaneously.
  • Have high-level computer skills, including administration of EDMS.
  • Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail for quality control.
  • Show sound analytical skills and demonstrated ability to assess, evaluate, and solve problems.
  • Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Have minimum 1 year of experience in a Records Management or similar role.

Desirable criteria include a tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline.
