About the Job:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solid Plasterer to join our team. As a Solid Plasterer, you will be responsible for:

  • Measuring and cutting plasterboards for pre-installations
  • Applying fillings, varnishes, stains, and vinyl to walls and structures
  • Selecting and preparing adhesive mixtures
  • Lifting and positioning panels and securing to walls and ceilings
  • Preparing corner fittings, such as measuring and cutting
  • Applying coatings of plaster and cement to exterior and interior structures
  • Installing fireproofing materials, such as plaster, plastic cement, and others
  • Mixing and applying plaster coats and render structure fittings
  • Applying finishing coats and creating textures for decoration
  • Involved in the hiring and training of apprentices
  • Compliance with OH&S guidelines
  • Performing other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Relevant qualifications
  • A minimum of two years' experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of construction industry standards and regulations
  • Physical stamina and strength to perform tasks that may involve lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods
  • Attention to detail and ability to identify and repair imperfections or defects in plasterwork
  • Experience in preparing surfaces by cleaning, patching, and applying undercoats or bonding agents
  • Ability to mix plaster ingredients to the appropriate consistency and texture
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment

What We Offer:

A competitive remuneration package ranging from $70,000 - $90,000, plus superannuation for a 38-hour work week.
