Job Overview

The Strategic Communication and Engagement Unit has an exciting opportunity for a skilled Communication Specialist to join our team.

As a key member of our unit, you will play a crucial role in the development and implementation of effective communication strategies that enhance our reputation and brand as an employer and provider of public healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, and maintain high-quality communication materials and processes to meet organisational needs and priorities.
  • Lead the delivery of quality communication that enhances our reputation and brand as an employer and a provider of public healthcare services.
  • Manage and create fit-for-purpose communication channels to meet organisational needs and priorities.
  • Ensure high-quality communication materials are accurate, consistent, and tailored for relevant audiences.
  • Utilise your strong planning skills to ensure adequate response to competing priorities and robust systems for efficient delivery.

Requirements:

  • High level written communication skills, organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification and previous experience in a related field is highly regarded.
  • Evidence of vaccination and remaining vaccinated against COVID-19.
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be completed.

The Strategic Communication and Engagement Unit oversees the implementation of Queensland Health's communication and engagement strategy. We manage production of high-quality communication and engagement activity across various channels for internal and external audiences. We provide strategic advice to the executive team and other divisions.
