Payroll Operations Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Payroll Operations Specialist to join our finance team. As a key member of the payroll operations function, you will be responsible for managing the entire payroll process, ensuring accuracy and integrity of payroll data, and providing exceptional support to staff and management with all payroll-related queries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the full payroll lifecycle, including salary, allowance, overtime, and payroll deductions calculation and processing.
  • Prepare and distribute month-end reports to key stakeholders, including journals preparation.
  • Complete payroll tax and Workcover calculations.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of taxation laws relevant to remuneration and ensure compliance with all statutory obligations related to payroll.
  • Prepare yearly reports, including ad-hoc reports requested by management.
Requirements:
  • Experience working with payroll processing systems such as Micropay, ADP, SAP, HR3, Chris21, or similar.
  • Proven experience in medium-sized payroll environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of payroll tax and Workcover legislation in Victoria, NSW, and QLD.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with ATO, Centrelink, and Superannuation clearing houses.
  • Desirable: experience with Workday.
  • Strong background in a similar role, preferably in the IT industry.
