Job Summary

Our organization is seeking an experienced and skilled Project Manager to lead various construction projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will have a proven track record in project management, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality outcomes within budget and time constraints.

About the Role

The Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project delivery, including developing comprehensive project plans, coordinating with clients and stakeholders, and managing project budgets and timelines. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans, schedules, and budgets in consultation with clients and stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to define project requirements and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Oversee daily construction activities on-site to ensure adherence to plans and timelines, and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Supervise subcontractors, site crews, and suppliers to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Prepare and manage project reports, forecasts, and cost estimates, and monitor expenses and control costs.
  • Act as the main point of contact for clients, consultants, and internal teams, and provide regular progress updates and reports.
  • Maintain detailed project documentation, including logs, reports, and records, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 2 years' experience as a project manager in the construction industry.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software applications.
  • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to various job sites across Adelaide.

Preferred Qualifications

While not essential, the following qualifications would be highly desirable:

  • Tertiary qualifications in engineering or construction management.
  • Residential housing experience.
  • Knowledge of the SA construction market and subcontractors.
