The Company:

Our client is a leading international service-based system integrator with 20 years of experience in designing, installing, and servicing security, fire alarm, life safety, AV, and building automation solutions.


About The Role:

In this position, you will be responsible for the application engineering, programming, troubleshooting, start-up, and check-out of assigned installed projects, primarily larger and more complex.

Individuals' work will be in accordance with established quality standards.

You will be required to provide technical support to customers and be responsible for maximizing customer satisfaction with installed Security, and/or integrations into Building Automation Systems.


Key Responsibilities:
1. Perform in-depth analysis of plans, functional specifications, and contracts to determine and advise on overall project requirements.
2. Manage various project aspects, including estimating, design, tracking, start-up, and planning phases.
3. Provide input, reviews, and possibly prepare shop drawings and wiring diagrams, based on project plans and specifications, indicating location of devices, equipment, and wiring, etc.
4. Advise Project Managers and/or Sales regarding appropriate products needed for installations.
5. Identify any issues on product lines continually to ensure timely delivery of projects.
6. May provide custom systems integrations, detailed systems upgrade planning and execution, systems audits and consultation, and/or database management and manipulation.
7. May install, configure, and support a variety of network systems and equipment for assigned projects.
8. Assist Project Managers to prepare and/or review formal submittal booklets, containing schematics, and technical literature as necessary to support each contract.
9. May be required to perform other Project Manager duties as and when required.
10. Provide onsite assistance with the installations and startups, check out and turnover processes.
11. Act as a technical resource and support to sales executives.
12. Prepare databases and job-related programming for computer-based systems.
13. Provide performance feedback to management regarding Engineering Specialists and transfers knowledge and expertise to other Specialists.

Requirements:
1. Exceptional customer focus and ability to work under pressure.
2. Solid knowledge of engineering principles and practices related to electronic security systems, building automation systems, fire alarm systems.
3. Advanced programming skills and proven ability to troubleshoot problems and look for solutions.
4. Must be a self-starter and work well without supervision.
5. Frequent visits to jobsites as well as some overnight travel will be required.
6. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
7. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
8. Highly proficient computer skills including MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel), Auto CAD, and/or viewing software; solid networking & IT skills (Security & Building Automation primarily).
