Support Care Specialist

The Disability Support Worker is responsible for delivering high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, ensuring their physical, emotional, and social needs are met.
Key Responsibilities:- Care Assistance: Assist clients with personal hygiene tasks, including bathing, grooming, and toileting. Aid clients with dressing and undressing, ensuring their comfort and dignity. Assist with mobility, transfers, and positioning as needed.
- Medication Administration: Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and dosage instructions. Monitor and document clients' medication intake and any observed side effects.
- Domestic Support: Assist clients with meal preparation, feeding, and dietary needs. Provide support with household tasks such as light cleaning, laundry, and organizing.
- Emotional Support: Build rapport and trust with clients, fostering positive relationships based on respect and empathy. Provide emotional support and companionship, actively listening to clients' concerns and providing reassurance.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client care activities, including daily progress notes and incident reports.
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and quality of life for individuals with disabilities. You will work closely with clients, families, and healthcare professionals to deliver person-centered care that meets the unique needs of each individual.
