About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Assistant Residential Life Manager. As a key member of our Residential Life team, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and inclusive community for our residents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the coordination of the residence as a community under the guidance of the Residential Life Manager.
  • Assist in the delivery of the Residential Life and Wellbeing Program, with a focus on pastoral care and academic matters.
  • Develop and organize a holistic calendar of events for residents, enriching their educational, cultural, and social experience.
  • Support a high-performing Residential Life team and develop a culture within the community.
  • Lead in the delivery of exceptional service to all stakeholder groups and play an active role in the emergency response team.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree with experience in university life or relevant careers.
  • Previous experience in a similar role, with a focus on leadership, wellbeing, and mental health in a university/youth environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in event management, including budgets, planning, and implementation.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including the ability to relate to people from diverse backgrounds.
  • High level of competency in a range of software packages, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and resolve conflict in a diverse environment.
  • Experience as the primary contact for students and the first responder for critical and emergency incidents.
