This position reports to the Director General and is responsible for providing strategic leadership and direction to executive services staff and the Ministerial Liaison Unit to ensure an effective interface between the Department and the offices of its Ministers and officers of Executive Government.
The Director's position is pivotal in the efficient management of the Director General's Office as it operates in an environment of competing priorities and constant adjustment where discretion and judgement are required in dealing with numerous confidential and sensitive issues which include overseeing the functions of Ministerial liaison services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide strategic leadership and direction to executive services staff and the Ministerial Liaison Unit
- Ensure an effective interface between the Department and the offices of its Ministers and officers of Executive Government
- Oversee the functions of Ministerial liaison services
- Manage competing priorities and constant adjustment in the Director General's Office
