Job Title: Manager - System Services and Responses

Department: Department of Education, Western Australia

Job Summary

The Department of Education, Western Australia is seeking an experienced and motivated Manager to lead the System Services and Responses branch within the Statewide Services division. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic policy input, responding to ministerial requests, and developing and managing processes to deliver effective and timely responses to the system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the on-going refinement and implementation of streamlined processes to ensure provision of high-quality responses and advice is provided from Statewide Services
  • Work closely with the office of the Executive Director, Statewide Services to establish processes that provide timely responses for senior leaders while ensuring clear communication to support staff is enacted
  • Review and identify efficiencies in practices and processes resulting in schools using an efficient system to access professional learning, quality services, facilities management, and rigorous budgetary practices
  • Lead and develop System Services and Support staff in building productive relationships across the division and the wider Department
  • Develop strong collaborative relationships with the leadership team members at Statewide Services to support all Statewide Services staff
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will be a strategic thinker with a proven ability to achieve results and a commitment to establish and improve service delivery and support for system requests. You will also have strong communication skills, written or oral, monitoring and organisational skills, and be able to lead and develop staff in building productive relationships.
