Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen to become a Community Development Ambassador in the Azores, where you will have the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, teens, and elderly residents.

Location: So Miguel Island, Azores

Duration: 2-12 weeks

Benefits: All food, accommodation, pre-departure + in-country support, orientation and all project related activities are included.

What You Will Need To Bring: Flights, travel insurance, personal spending, visas and vaccinations are not included.

Responsibilities
  • Support intergenerational well-being by organizing creative, educational, and recreational activities for children, teens, and the elderly.
  • Empower youth through dance by contributing to a Hip-Hop Dance Project that builds confidence and social inclusion.
  • Enhance community health by assisting with medication management, ensuring safe storage and accurate tracking.
  • Collaborate with local NGOs to identify and implement initiatives that meet the needs of the community.
About The Project

This project aims to foster connection, growth, and well-being across generations through creative, educational, and health-focused initiatives. As a Community Development Ambassador, you will play a vital role in supporting the vibrant community of So Miguel Island.

Hip-Hop Dance Project

You will offer young people at risk of social exclusion a safe and expressive outlet through dance, gaining confidence, teamwork skills, and a sense of belonging while you support their journey.

Health Initiatives

You may also contribute to NGO health initiatives by assisting with medication tracking, ensuring proper storage, and helping improve access to essential treatments.
