Job Role

The primary function of this role is to provide support in the preparation and maintenance of equipment and supplies for operating theatre procedures.

  • Ensure consumable stock is rotated and date checked regularly.
  • Set up cases with instrumentation and consumables as per bookings, ensuring all necessary items are present and ready for use.
  • Prepare emergency and add-on case setups as required.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of temperatures in sterile storage rooms.

In addition to these responsibilities, the successful candidate will be expected to:

  • Assist CSSD staff with the receipt and storage of sterile stock.
  • Collaborate with Scrub Nurses to maintain updated Surgeon Preference Cards.
  • Respond promptly to calls from Theatres to retrieve sterile stock as needed.
